About Me

Margaret O’Connor spent a year learning how to make and market champagne while researching her debut novel, THE VINEYARD OF DESIRE AND DISCONTENT.

A contributor to the London Financial Times since 2005, Margaret's non-fiction has also appeared in The Hollywood Reporter, Travel +Leisure, The Financial Mail, Shape, and Style magazines.   Margaret attended the Bread Loaf Writer’s Conference, Tin House, and the Squaw Valley Community of Writers to improve her craft and to learn about the tribal rituals of the publishing industry.

Prior to pursuing her dream of writing books, Margaret crafted propaganda for the Korean Minister of Finance; established a conference business during the dying days of Apartheid; created MasterCard International's PR network in Asia; and launched an Internet 1.0 video distribution business for TV stations globally. She looks forward to using her media relations and public speaking skills to encourage readers to pursue their own ideas for reinvention.

Margaret is busy developing her next "smart story about girl power." BLACK MISCHIEF is set in the mobile phone industry.
